New Year

Norfolk Greyhound Rescue ~ we did it !! On the eve of what NGR hope will be a fantastic new year, we brought home our first two Irish rescued greyhounds.Percy n Katie

Percy and Katie arrived in the UK tired, but safe. Both have gone into foster homes in Norfolk. Percy is a brindle boy is looking for his forever home. He is a calm, gentle, extremely laid back small brindle boy.

NGR have had an amazing Christmas and we owe several people thanks. A special thanks go out to Dianne and Ray.  They and their two greyhounds Pingu and Pixie went along to quite a few of the Christmas Cromer Pier Specials to spread the word and raise awareness of the plight of greyhounds. They took the Norfolk Greyhound Rescue buckets with them and collected £872.

Pingu was especially brave as, as an almost totally blind dog in a bar full of excited children and equally excited adults, he stood his ground.  Fortunately the weather was mild so it was possible to stand outside to collect where it was less stressful to dogs and humans!

Also this Christmas

Ruby, the Greyhound Lurcher found herself a new family in Diss, we wish her all the best in her new life. Greyhound Katie is now adopted, and handsome boy Lance and sweet Smokey have had home offers too.

All brilliant news, as our organisation has only been up and running since September. Let’s hope 2016 will be just as good for us and many more greyhounds. Happy new year!
